Every August, I go through the same ritual: fresh backpacks, labeled water bottles, and a house that suddenly runs on a schedule again. The transition is exciting — and it's a lot, for kids and parents both. This is the season I lean hardest on the doTERRA Kids Collection, a lineup of pre-diluted roller blends made specifically for little bodies, each one built around a different moment in the day.

"The whole collection is built around real moments — homework, bedtime, first-day nerves — not a single 'do it all' bottle."

These oils come pre-diluted in doTERRA's CPTG® formulas with a kid-friendly rollerball application, which is exactly why they've become part of our morning and evening rituals since school started back up. Below is the full collection, in the order our family actually reaches for them.

The doTERRA Kids Collection

doTERRA Thinker Kids Blend
Kids Collection 01
Thinker
Our homework-hour ritual. A fresh, bright aromatic blend we roll on before quiet study time or diffuse at the kitchen table during after-school work.
doTERRA Calmer Kids Blend
Kids Collection 02
Calmer®
The wind-down roller. Part of our bedtime ritual after the first day of school (or any day) leaves everyone a little wired.
doTERRA Stronger Kids Blend
Kids Collection 03
Stronger
Our everyday back-to-school ritual roller. We keep this one in the backpack side pocket all year, September through June.
doTERRA Tamer Kids Blend
Kids Collection 04
Tamer
The car-line ritual. We roll this on little tummies before car rides and big lunches, especially during the first jittery weeks of a new school year.
doTERRA Rescuer Kids Blend
Kids Collection 05
Rescuer
Our playground-recess go-to. This lives in the car and the backpack for the scraped knees and skinned elbows that come with recess season.
doTERRA Steady Kids Blend
Kids Collection 06
Steady
Our grounding ritual for the big-feelings mornings — first day jitters, test-day nerves, or just a rough wake-up. Roll on before we walk out the door.
doTERRA Brave Kids Blend
Kids Collection 07
Brave
For the new-classroom, new-teacher, new-friends kind of nerves. Our first-day-of-school ritual — rolled on wrists right before we walk in the door.

How we actually use these day to day

Morning (before the bus): Steady or Brave, rolled on little wrists as part of the "let's do this" ritual by the front door.

Homework hour: Thinker, diffused at the kitchen table or rolled onto the back of the neck during quiet focus time.

Car rides and lunchboxes: Tamer, rolled onto tummies before we pull out of the driveway.

Recess mishaps: Rescuer lives in the car door pocket and the backpack front zip for scraped knees.

All-year, every day: Stronger, part of our daily aromatic ritual regardless of the season.

Bedtime: Calmer, our wind-down roller once backpacks are unpacked and lunches are made for tomorrow.

⚠️ A note on kid-safe use

The Kids Collection is pre-diluted and designed with a rollerball for little bodies, which makes it a nice starting point — but every child is different. I always patch-test on a small area first, keep rollers out of eyes and away from faces, and check in with our pediatrician about anything new, especially for kids with asthma, allergies, or sensory sensitivities. I wrote a full breakdown of age guidelines and dilution ratios in my safe oil use for children guide if you want to go deeper before the school year gets going.

The bottom line

Back to school is a season of transitions — new teachers, new routines, new social dynamics — and a simple aromatic ritual can be a nice anchor point in an otherwise chaotic morning. The Kids Collection isn't a cure for first-day nerves or a fix for a rough homework night. It's just part of the rhythm our family leans on to make the transition feel a little more familiar.
