I used to have a skincare routine. It looked impressive β€” serums, toners, essences, masks. I'd read the reviews, bought what the internet said would fix my skin, and applied layers of products in the morning and evening. My skin wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It felt tight in some places, oily in others, and nothing seemed to actually address what was happening beneath the surface.

Then I simplified. Dramatically. And what surprised me is that my skin responded better to four intentional oils than it ever did to twelve products I didn't fully understand.

"The best skincare routine is the one you'll actually use consistently β€” and that's easier to stick with when it's simple."

The four oils that changed things

Frankincense
Oil 01
Frankincense
The foundation. I dilute 2–3 drops in Fractionated Coconut Oil and apply to clean skin every morning and evening. Known for skin-supporting properties in traditional wellness practices.
Rose Touch
Oil 02
Rose Touch
Already diluted, ready-to-use. I apply it after the Frankincense while skin is still slightly damp. The aroma alone is grounding, and it's become my favorite part of the routine.
Geranium
Oil 03
Geranium
One drop diluted with a carrier oil, applied to any areas that need extra support. Floral and uplifting. I use this 2–3 times per week as a focused treatment.
Lemon
Oil 04
Lemon
I use this internally β€” one drop in water each morning β€” for its antioxidant properties and to support my body's natural detoxification. Not applied directly to skin due to photosensitivity.

The transition period

I didn't switch overnight. I gradually replaced products as they ran out, starting with the most irritating ones. My first month was rough β€” my skin purged as I removed all the synthetic ingredients it had gotten used to. But by week 4, the texture improved. By month two, my skin looked clearer than it had in years.

This wasn't dramatic. It was gradual, consistent improvement. The kind that makes you realize the old routine wasn't working at all.

What actually happened

When I removed the heavy, fragrance-laden products and started with just oils, my skin barrier repaired itself. I wasn't stripping it daily with physical exfoliants or chemical treatments. I was feeding it with plant-derived compounds that actually make sense to the skin.

The oils I use are CPTG β€” that means third-party tested, pure, and potent. Every application matters because there's no filler, no water, no synthetic fragrance. Just the oil doing what it's formulated to do.

⚠️ Important: Skin Sensitivity

Essential oils are potent. Always dilute with a carrier oil before applying to skin β€” never apply undiluted. A good starting point is 1 drop of essential oil per teaspoon (5ml) of Fractionated Coconut Oil. If you have sensitive skin, allergies, or are pregnant, consult a healthcare provider before using topically. Patch test on a small area first.

The supporting cast

I do use one other product: Fractionated Coconut Oil as my base carrier. It's lightweight, doesn't clog, and absorbs quickly. Some mornings I add a damp face cloth to lock in hydration. That's genuinely it.

This isn't because oils are a magic solution. It's because I've stopped trying to fix my skin with products designed to sound impressive on an ingredient list, and started feeding it with what actually makes a difference: pure plant compounds and consistent care.
